Vancouver Gear Works Ltd. provides a wide variety of gear cutting services. We also have precision gear grinding machinery, which enables us to provide longer lasting, higher quality gears.

VANGEAR's cutting machines utilize the generating principle. These versatile machines permit a high accuracy of manufacturing. VANGEAR can accurately produce any tooth form on modified gears for industry requirements. We can provide complete gear analysis data with every part. The graphical analysis indicates the AGMA quality level of the product and ensures our gears meet with the highest standards.

Manufacturing

VANGEAR's manufacturing capability starts from raw materials and ends with complete gear components. Items that we manufacture follow our client's exact specifications. Utilizing top of the line equipment and the highest quality of material available, we are able to adapt and provide products to satisfy our customer's requirements.

Machining

VANGEAR has over 175 machines and the capacity to completely machine all types of work. Regular machine shop work, repair work and emergency work receive the same quality service. Quick conversational programming allows for maximum production on our CNC equipment.

Our machining services include large capacity vertical and horizontal boring mills, CNC and conventional engine lathes, drill presses, and planer mills, enabling us to machine a wide range of parts of different shapes and sizes.

VANGEAR's versatility in gearing and machining services gives us a manufacturing ability that delivers on-time precision and economy of production. Because our versatile shop takes on many jobs not related to gearing, many customers have been pleased to learn that our regular machine shop services are very cost competitive.

Repairing

VANGEAR offers a complete overhaul and repair service for all types of mechanical and rotating machinery. We repair specialized machinery for the Forestry, Marine, Mining as well as the Oil and Gas Industry.

When requested we will test and evaluate your current configuration and make recommendations for increasing the performance and life of your parts. We will replace any worn parts, shot blast, clean, paint and reassemble all for a fraction of the replacement cost.

Fabricating

VANGEAR’s fabrication department can burn steel plate up to 6” in thickness to any desired pattern. With our CNC burners we have the capabilities of cutting single or multiple patterns. Once the burning operation is completed all parts are prepared for the next process. Our versatile shop can also perform Arc, Tig and Mig Welding. Metal Spraying, Flame Hardening and Stress Relieving.
